Volunteer Opportunities
The Naples area has an overabundance of stray and abandoned animals. Because of this, there are numerous volunteer opportunities for those people with the time, energy, dedication, or financial resources to help.
Animal Fostering
For every stray or abandoned animal that finds an immediate home, there are more that need a place to stay while they recuperate from street life and prepare for their forever homes. If you have a place in your heart and home, fostering may be the right choice for you. Learn More.
Marketing and Public Relations
In order to be successful in helping animals, people need to know this organization exists! We are continuously seeking volunteers who can assist with marketing and public relations activities from website management and fundraising, to volunteer outreach and event management. Learn More.
Trap, Neuter, Release
Sometimes the right answer is not to find the stray animal a home, but instead to sterilize the animal and release it back into the community. There are many reasons for this, and it has the greatest impact of any on reducing the overall stray population in Naples. We seek volunteers who can assist in the capture, transport, rehabilitation., and release of these animals. Learn More.
Adoption Facilitation
To ensure that animals adopted through NALA have been afforded the best possible support, we are searching for volunteers to help maintain animal adoption paperwork, including initial adoption applications, adoptive family support packets, and success stories. Learn More.
Animal Ownership Education
Animal ownership overseas can be complicated. Families who have brought their animals to Naples, or have adopted animals while in Naples have questions. We are looking for volunteers to manage information for these families on costs and locations for veterinary care, sterilization, steps for PCS with your pet, and more. Learn More.
Animal Advocacy
The animals themselves don't have a voice, so we are seeking dedicated animal lovers to help us to improve policies and procedures intended to protect pets. These tasks will include improving pet "out-processing" documentation and procedures- to streamline and simplify getting your pets home, and pet policy enforcement- to ensure animals brought to or adopted in Naples are not abandoned in Naples.
