Volunteer Opportunities - Animal Fostering
Animal Fostering Guidelines
- While a foster animal is in your care, all costs incurred, including food, vaccinizations, and veterinary care, are the responsibility of the foster. In some cases, financial assistance is available. Contact the NALA Animal Fostering representative.
- Foster animals are promoted for permanent adoption through the Available for Adoption binder at AOR, on the NALA website, and on the NALA page on Facebook. It is the responsibility of the foster to ensure that all of the information about the foster animal is current. Is your foster animals' information out of date? Contact the NALA Marketing and Public Relations representative.
- If a foster animal fails to be adopted, that animal becomes the permanent responsibility of the foster family. In some cases, another foster family can be found. If you need help with your foster pet, please contact the NALA Animal Fostering representative.
